Hunger Games Obsession and Day 'o' Errands

36Smile! Day 45-50

As the days get closer to leaving for Houston I am continually behind on my writing! I can only imagine how it's going to be when I am actually in Houston.

Day 45 Hunger Games Obsession Begins
I recently started Hunger Games and I have to stay, I couldn't put the book down! I didn't get what all the hype was about first because I just finishd a book similar to it called Matched. In Matched, everything the characters do are controlled by this "society". They tell them what to eat, when to eat it, what to study, what activities to participate in, where to live, who you will married—or be "matched" to— and you aren't allowed to live a different life.
I was a little hesitant at first to read Hunger Games because I was thinking, I just read a book like this. But I was totally wrong! This book kept me turning the page the two days it took me to read it! The thing I love about reading a great book is that I can picture what is happen. I can see the scenes as it happens. If a book doesn't make me do that from the first couple of pages, then I wont buy it. I definitely reccommend this book!

Day 46 Friday = Pizza and Movie Night!
It ended up being one of those nights—and we loved it! I was babysitting all day so I didn't have time to make anything. We decided to Pizza and Redbox it with not one, but two movies: Take Shelter and What's Your Number. Yes, it was a boy vs girl movie night. But in married life we called that compromise :) Take Shelter was actually pretty good. It started out a little slow in the beginning but the story line and character acting, mainly by Michael Shannon, made up for it. What's Your Number was your typical RomCom with Anna Faris and Chris Evans (yum!). The storyline was simple—Anna trying to retrace her steps of her past lovers and of course ends up falling for SPOILER ALERT, the man who helps her find them. It kept me laughing and I loved the chemistry between Faris and Evans. Not to mention, we were dining on our CinnaStix too!

Day 47, Day o'Errands and Lunch
Who knew a day of running errands would actually be fun? But with Chris and I are, it always is. If not, you are going to drive each other crazy! Since I am leaving for about a month—and two weeks till Chris gets to Houston—we had lots of things to do. We finally got him fitted and bought a Tux for my sisters wedding. And thanks to checking in on the FourSquare app we got 15% off! Bought some last minute things at Target and finally got chris equipped to ride his new bike by getting him a helmet, bike pump and lock. It was lunch time so where did we go? Azetecas! And of course we ordered queso! It's like the only place we have found, so far here in Seattle, that actually has decent queso.
After a day of running around, all I wanted to do was come home and finish reading Hungers Games. And that I did! It was so worth! I bought the second one already and well on my way to getting obsessed with this one too.

Every day I spend with Chris, no matter what we're doing, we have the best time! I hate leaving him! But the house is clean and the fridge is stocked so he should be good for two weeks.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend and made the most out of the things that made you smile :)
