Fashion Fridays From Kate Middleton!

Project 36Smile!

Today, it's all about Kate. Yes, that's right Duchess of Cambridge Catherine, Wife of William, the Future Queen of England. Whatever moniker you give her, she is always stylish, fashionable, elegant and chic.

Here are some of my favorite looks that I wouldn't mind wearing at all:

1. Casual yet still stylish in a Hobb's grey and cream dress, only $34!
2. Classy and elegant while meeting many country presidents at the Olympics
3. Even Royals dress alike! A great, simple look for running weekend errands or spending time with your beau.
4. Looking amazing in this camel Shola Reiss bandage-style dress, not bad at $340

When It Rains, It Pours

Project 36Smile!

Well, it has been over a month since my last post for Project 35Smile! and I can say that I have finally got a job! Make that three— technically!

1. Marketing and Events Associate for Seattle Met Magazine
2. Blogger for Julep Nails. You can see my very first post on the hottest summer sandal here
3. Retail at Madewell

All three of these jobs have been keeping a smile on my face the past month, and I couldn't be more excited. I am planning some great events at Seattle Met and learning more and more about event planning — which is exactly what I want to do and I actually love going to work, which is the best part!

Another passion of mine has always been fashion. I've heard so many times, "Why don't you start a fashion blog. You've got great style!" I am so glad I am able to combine my passion for writing and fashion trends by blogging for Julep.

As for Madewell, I am working part time there. I actually started there prior to Seattle Met and Julep for fear of being unemployed for an entire year! Then it just so happens the other two jobs came around the same time. When it rains, it pours! But in such a great way here.

I didn't realize how much having a job(s) would make a difference for my over all well being. I knew it would be good for me to get a job — I was getting kind of depressed there for awhile. Having a job gives you a reason to get up in the morning, put on makeup, put on regular clothes — as opposed to yoga pants and comfy shirts all day — and get out there and earn some money! I am contributing to this marriage. We are starting to save money now! I am earning my own money which means I don't feel bad when I want to buy something for myself. I am meeting some new people. Now, if rent wasn't so expensive, hmmmm..........

So be thankful for the job that you have, the family you are apart of and the friends around you. Our life is so short, and you never know how long you have on this earth. I am so blessed every day and I thank God daily.

What made you smile today?!

Fashion Fridays!

A new post I will be adding to my Project 36Smile!

I recently sat down and watched It Means War with Reece Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy.

It was a good movie. Your typical: two best friends fall for the same girl and the hilarity that follows.

But I couldn't stop talking about the fashion Reece Witherspoon donned the entire movie. Everything from Hervé Léger, Dolce & Gabbana, Burberry, Prada and even more affordable threads like J Crew.

Here are some of my favorite picks:

Ravishing in Red
It's no wonder you see why It Means War Costume Design Sophie De Rakoff styles her in red many times. She looks fabulous and ready to take on the world—and the two men aiming for her heart.
Love this simple yet chic Winter Kate Dress                   She's all smiles in the Versace shift dress

Reese's LBD
Now, I don't need to mention how every lady should have their own LBD. She definitely takes the cake with this BCBG Herve Leger black bandage dress.

First Date Dress Dilemma Solved
I am all about the dresses. Any time, any day, you will most likely see me in a dress. And Reese's character Lauren wears this stunning but not over dressy number by PARKER for a first date. First dates are all about making the connection and not having to worry about whether you're showing too much cleavage, etc (which you should never do!). And the red pumps adds that extra special sparkle every lady needs.

What was your favorite pick? I'd really like to know! Didn't see it here, post below and let me know why it's your fav!
