My Favorite Part of Superbowl Sunday

36Smile! Day 36

Superbowl Sunday! The only thing that gets this girl excited about the game is cooking for it! And of course if our Houston Texans would've been in the game. Maybe one day. I can dream, can't I?

Since the sun was still out we had to get out to enjoy it before the game.

After church service, we walk the dog down to Bustle cafe. Not before stopping at the corner market to grab Chris his Mountain Dew, yuck! We stop at one of my favorite places to view the mountains. On a clear day, the view is just breath taking. See for yourself:

Then back to house, to prep for the Superbowl! On the menu:

Homemade Chili
Texas Buffalo Chicken Dip
Quacamole and Salsa
Apricot Glazed Wings, brought over

I love being in the kitchen and reviving boring recipes while making them healthy. I would say everything was a hit.

We had a great time watching the game, having people over and indulging in great food—it's OK to have a "Fat-urday", just gotta do it the right way :)

The game was good, Madonna's halftime performance was way better and totally unexpected. She is in a league of her own when it comes to unique female performers. Before Lady Gaga, Christina, Nicki Minaj, etc Madonna was it. She set the stage and put on an absoutely brillant performance.

I was actually kind of disappointed by the commericals this year. There weren't any that stood out. The only one that I actually liked was the Matthew Broderick one, and I had already seen that one. Oh and not to mention the David Beckham ad. Thank you H&M!

All in all it was another good day! It's the little things that count, whether it be good food, good company or just a good day. Smile and be thankful for where you are and who you're with. That's all that matters.

36Smile! is blog where Sabrina will be writing about and sharing memories that make her smile 365 days of the year! Too often, we are wrapped up in the hustle and bustle of this crazy little thing called life. We should take time out to enjoy the little things that make us smile and celebrate it!
